This Privacy Policy explains how SKP The Jewel Co. collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit skpthejewel.co, place an order or contact us. SKP The Jewel Co. is based at 4TH Floor – K.N House, Opposite Science Centre, Citylight, Surat, Gujarat, India – 395007. For privacy questions or requests, email jewels.skp@gmail.com.

Information we collect

  • Orders and enquiries: your name, email address, telephone number, billing and delivery addresses, products and variations selected, order history, and information you send us about an enquiry, return or other request.
  • Personalisation and fit: measurements, size choices, initials or other instructions that you provide for the jewellery you order.
  • Payments: transaction references, payment status and information needed to process or support your payment. Payment providers process payment credentials through their own services. Do not send passwords, card security codes or one-time payment codes to us by email or chat.
  • Store activity: cart contents, product interactions, wishlist or comparison choices, currency preferences and account information where you use an existing account.
  • Technical and usage information: IP address, approximate location, browser and device information, pages visited, referring sources, cookie identifiers and website events collected through the store and the tracking services described below.

We do not ask you to provide biometric information or identity documents as part of our normal website shopping process. A payment provider may have its own verification requirements. Please avoid including unnecessary sensitive information in an enquiry or personalisation request.

How we use information

We use information to respond to enquiries, prepare and fulfil orders, process payments, arrange delivery, provide order updates, manage returns and customer support, maintain business records, prevent fraud and protect the store. Technical information also supports cart sessions, location-based currency selection, site operation and measurement of how visitors use the website.

Where applicable data-protection law requires a legal basis, order and enquiry processing is necessary to take steps at your request or perform our contract with you; tax, accounting and other required records support legal obligations. Security, fraud prevention and appropriate service administration support our legitimate interests, subject to applicable rights. Where consent is required for a particular use, that use requires consent and consent may be withdrawn. This policy does not treat simply browsing the website as consent to every use of your information.

Payments and service providers

Depending on the payment method available and selected at checkout, payments are processed using PayPal, Razorpay or Cashfree and their relevant payment partners. Information such as the transaction amount, currency, billing details and payment status may be exchanged as needed to process, verify, reconcile or refund a payment. The selected provider explains its own data handling and verification requirements in its privacy notice.

We also use providers that help operate the website, store and support its records, send service communications, and deliver orders. Hosting and connected WordPress/WooCommerce services, including Automattic services where used, may process store information. Delivery providers receive the contact and address information needed to transport and deliver your order. Authorised store administrators and staff may access information needed to fulfil orders and support customers.

We do not sell customer information or share customer contact lists with other businesses for their own marketing. Sharing required to operate the store, process payments and deliver services is described here. We may also disclose information where legally required, to resolve a dispute, or to investigate fraud or protect lawful rights.

Google Analytics, Meta and other external services

The website uses Google Analytics to measure visits and shopping interactions. It also includes Meta tracking technology, which can send website visits and product or shopping interactions to Meta for measurement and advertising-related processing. These services can receive technical information and identifiers associated with your browser or device. Such information should not be assumed to be completely anonymous.

Google reCAPTCHA is used for spam and abuse protection. External services, including payment tools and any third-party media you interact with, may receive information required to provide their functionality. Their handling of information is also governed by their own privacy notices. See Google’s Privacy Policy and Meta’s Privacy Policy.

If you choose to contact us through WhatsApp or another social platform, that service also processes your interaction under its own privacy terms. Please use email for a privacy request and avoid sending sensitive payment credentials through messages.

Cookies and your choices

The store uses cookies or similar technologies for functions such as cart contents, checkout sessions, login where used, preferences and currency selection. Analytics and Meta technologies can also use cookies or similar identifiers. Some cookies last only for a session; others can remain until they expire or are deleted. Their duration depends on the service and your settings.

You can manage or delete cookies through your browser and use the privacy controls offered by Google and Meta. Blocking certain cookies can affect checkout, login and other store functions. Browser settings do not necessarily control every form of server-side processing. You can contact us about tracking choices or object to a use of your personal information where applicable law gives you that right.

Customer communications

We use your contact details for enquiries, payment or order updates, delivery, returns and customer support. Purchasing does not automatically subscribe you to a newsletter. We do not currently use customer contact details for marketing mailings, and automated abandoned-cart reminder emails are disabled. If we introduce optional marketing subscriptions, we will explain the use and provide the choices required by applicable law before using your details for that purpose.

How long information is kept

Retention depends on the information and its purpose. Order, payment and related correspondence may be needed for fulfilment, after-sales support, tax and accounting obligations, fraud prevention or legal claims. Cart and session records, support messages and analytics information have different operational purposes and may be retained for different periods, including periods controlled by external providers. We do not promise that all information is automatically deleted when you close your browser or ask to close an account.

You can ask about the information we hold or request deletion. We assess requests against the purposes for retaining the information and any legal requirement to keep it, and explain any applicable restriction. We may retain records necessary for an outstanding order, dispute or legal obligation.

International processing and security

SKP The Jewel Co. operates in India and serves customers internationally. Providers used for payments, hosting, analytics, communications and other services may process information in India or other countries. Applicable protections and transfer requirements depend on the provider and the law that applies to the processing.

We use administrative and technical measures to protect the information we handle and limit access to those who need it for their work. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Keep any account credentials confidential and contact us if you suspect misuse relating to your order or account.

Your privacy rights and requests

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to request access to your personal information, obtain a copy, correct it, request deletion, restrict or object to processing, request portability, or withdraw consent for processing that relies on consent. These rights can be subject to conditions and exceptions. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing lawfully carried out before withdrawal.

Email jewels.skp@gmail.com with your request and enough information to identify the relevant order or enquiry. We may need proportionate information to verify a request before releasing or changing personal information. Please do not send identity documents unless we explain why they are needed and how to provide them. You may also raise a concern with the data-protection authority available to you under applicable law.

Children and external websites

The store is intended for adult customers and is not directed at children under 18. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so that we can assess the situation and take appropriate action. Links to other websites and services are subject to those services’ privacy practices.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as our services or data practices change. The date above shows the latest revision. Where a new use requires additional notice or consent, we will provide it as required. This policy does not remove any mandatory privacy or consumer rights.
